LGBT Network – Enrichment Series: Introduction To Using AI
This interactive workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of using AI tools in everyday settings. Attendees will learn what artificial intelligence is, how popular AI platforms work, and how to craft effective prompts to get useful results. Tailored specifically for LGBTQ+ communities, the session explores how AI can support affirming language, inclusive storytelling, advocacy, and resource development while also addressing bias and representation in technology. We will discuss ethical issues when using AI as well. Through hands-on activities and real-world examples, participants will practice applying AI for writing, brainstorming, research, and creative projects in ways that center and uplift LGBTQ+ voices.
