LGBT Network – United Colors: A BIPOC Group (18+) – To Party or Not to ParTy
United Colors is a dedicated space for LGBTQ+ BIPOC adults to navigate real talk and real life, then unwind with creativity, games, and genuine connection. Bring your whole self—we’re here for all of it.
Historically, our community has primarily socialized at bars or clubs. For some of us, the availability of mood-altering substances highlighted the event and for others it opened the door for addiction. Is it hard for you to limit the amount you drink or use when partying? Does being under the influence help you feel better with accepting your sexual orientation or gender identity while socializing? Are LGBTQ sober events/places readily known and promoted? Has substance abuse caused your relationship to end or change? Is it important to you whether or not your partner uses legal substances vs illegal? Why or why not? Let’s discuss.
